Terms of Service
By using MDFriday services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Services
MDFriday provides the Obsidian Share plugin, the local Foundry static site builder, and optional MDFriday Cloud hosting. We charge for hosting storage and duration under Hosting plans, not per product line (Share/Blog/Wiki).
2. Accounts and plans
- Free (Guest): publish without a Google account; temporary URL; sites may show a "Built with MDFriday" badge
- Personal: requires Google OAuth and a Creem Hosting subscription; permanent URL, custom slug, and storage quota as described
- Team: not yet available; separate terms will apply when launched
3. Your content
You retain all rights to content you publish. You must ensure it is lawful, does not infringe third-party rights, and complies with our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You may not host illegal, malicious, infringing, or resource-abusive content. We may suspend or remove sites for violations.
5. Fees and refunds
Personal subscriptions are billed via Creem. Refunds follow Creem policies and applicable law. Contact team@mdfriday.org for prolonged outages caused by us.
6. Availability
We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Guest tier is provided as-is without SLA. Personal SLA details are on the pricing page.
7. Intellectual property
MDFriday branding, the website, plugin code (except open-source portions), and Foundry are owned by MDFriday or its licensors. Community themes follow their own licenses.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate access for violations. Guest sites expire per policy; Personal users may export static sites within a reasonable period.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, services are provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to MDFriday Limited. Disputes should first be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
